Housekeeping Office Coordinator

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Office Coordinator to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping department. This position plays a key role in coordinating departmental activities, managing room status updates, dispatching service requests, and ensuring effective communication between Housekeeping, Front Office, and Engineering. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational and communication skills, and is committed to delivering outstanding guest service.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily administrative operations of the Housekeeping department to support efficient workflow and exceptional guest service.
  • Generate and distribute operational reports, including room status updates and departmental activity reports.
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to guest and team member requests, ensuring all messages and service requests are communicated accurately and completed promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and departmental documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assist Housekeeping Supervisors with daily operations, including office opening and closing procedures, room assignments, room inspections, evening service coordination, and special projects.
  • Coordinate closely with the Front Office and Engineering departments to ensure accurate room status, timely maintenance response, and seamless guest service.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Housekeeping procedures, hotel services, guest amenities, and operating hours.
  • Assist with general cleaning duties as needed to support departmental operations and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Support Housekeeping team members in maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, hotel operations, or property management preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn hotel property management and housekeeping systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
  • Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while performing job duties.
  • Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
