Position: Program Director of Data and Analytics (Healthcare)
Location: Idaho City

FIDES is looking for aProgram Director of Data and Analytics to lead a transformative data platform implementation for a major healthcare system. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, this role will oversee the delivery of an enterprise clinical data lakehouse and analytics ecosystem leveraging Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in managing data platform initiatives in healthcare environments, including integration of clinical data across disparate systems (such as EPIC), and leading multidisciplinary teams focused on data engineering, reporting, and advanced analytics. This individual will also coordinate across internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft, EPIC, and the system integrator) to ensure cohesive delivery and aligned execution.

Responsibilities

  • Direct program execution of a healthcare data lakehouse initiative, aligning technical delivery with strategic enterprise objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and data scientists, responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing data solutions and analytics products.
  • Coordinate across internal stakeholders, vendor partners (Databricks, Microsoft, EPIC), and the system integrator to align architecture, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage program governance, timelines, budget, risk, and communications across multiple work streams.
  • Oversee integration of clinical data from EPIC EHR systems,leveraging HL7, FHIR, and other interoperability standards to support longitudinal patient records and analytics.
  • Support implementation of AI/ML tools and advanced analytics pipelines as part of broader digital transformation.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience managing data or analytics programs in healthcare or life sciences, including 3+ years leading cloud-based implementations.
  • Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure and Databricks in a production healthcare or enterprise setting.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and working with EPIC EHR systems using standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Strong understanding of clinical data models, interoperability frameworks, and data governance.
  • PMP certification required;
    Agile or SAFe experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Engineering, or related discipline;
    Master’s preferred.
