Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Web Content Manager leads a high‑performing team and personally drives the planning, optimization, and day‑to‑day execution of content across Guide Stone’s public‑facing digital properties. The role owns the full lifecycle of web content—from strategy to publishing to performance—and plays a critical role in how we attract, engage, and serve our customers across B2B and B2C audiences. Success requires a blend of hands‑on expertise and strong leadership, combining deep digital acumen, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and leadership to directly impact customer experience, acquisition, and retention, delivering digital experiences that achieve desired business outcomes.
What You’ll Do:- Team Management:
Lead, develop, and empower a team of web content strategists while setting a high bar for performance and accountability. Act as a working leader—personally contributing to complex initiatives, problem‑solving, and execution when needed. Establish clear priorities, streamline intake, and ensure the team is focused on the highest‑value work. - Web Content Management:
Through ongoing collaboration, drive Guide Stone’s web content strategy, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes. Lead the development and execution of high‑impact web initiatives, campaigns, and experiences—shaping the end‑to‑end user journey across our sites, including navigation, content architecture, CTAs, and conversion strategy. Translate business goals into digital experiences that drive engagement, lead generation, and growth, and provide input into CMS roadmap and development priorities to improve usability, performance, and personalization.
Ensure strong governance, consistency, and quality across all web properties. - Analytics, SEO & Optimization:
Lead web analytics strategy and reporting, translating data into clear, actionable insights. Own and evolve SEO/GEO/AEO strategy, ensuring Guide Stone is discoverable and competitive in search. Partner on paid search and paid social efforts to strengthen alignment between organic and paid performance, and serve as business owner for tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console. - Quality, Compliance & Accessibility:
Ensure all web experiences meet high standards for functionality, performance, and user experience across devices. Own adherence to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and regulatory requirements, proactively identifying and resolving issues to provide a seamless and compliant experience for all users. - Strategy:
Lead the evolution of Guide Stone’s digital presence by continuously evaluating competitor websites, content architecture, personalization strategies, and conversion tactics—translating insights into actionable improvements. Stay ahead of emerging digital trends, proactively introducing new ideas, capabilities, and best practices that strengthen performance and user experience. Define, implement, and uphold best‑in‑class UX standards across all web properties. - General:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the full digital marketing mix and confidently translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. Other duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of digital marketing or web experience, including 2+ years leading teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects and drive measurable results.

- Strong expertise with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Google Search Console), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern web tools.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
