Shipping Supervisor
Reporting to the Plant Logistics Manager, the Shipping Supervisor will lead shipping activities at the new Siemens PACS plant in Wendell, NC.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with shipping processes for domestic and international shipment, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain shipping staff job results by training, measuring, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Ensure good condition of facility/equipment through regular audit and implementation of preventative maintenance protocols
- Respond timely and professionally to customer complaints and inquiries
- Conduct short and mid-term capacity planning to ensure labor and equipment resources are balanced with demand
- Ensure shipping staffing needs through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Monitor shipping workflow indicators and respond to exceptions
- Troubleshooting complex inventory and shipping errors. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Guide and manage the process of packing and shipping product to customers
- Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow and positive working relationships among teams
- Conduct training for employees on all aspects of job performance including safety, quality, business processes, and HR policies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high volume shipping operation
- Experience in areas such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Distribution or other related manufacturing functions
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Experience with operating and maintaining a variety of warehouse material handling equipment
- Experience with SAP WM module
- Experience with warehouse scanning equipment and applications
Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
