Adecco is immediately hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician (Handyperson) to join a Camp Team at a gold mining encampment out near Cascade, a Facility Maintenance Tech, you will ensure that all facility and grounds maintenance requirements are met, including snow removal, light janitorial duties, and minor repairs. This role also includes operating vehicles for camp-related transportation needs. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional camp environment and reporting any deficiencies to the Maintenance Manager.
Pay Rate:$23-25/hour DOE
Schedule:
Rotational – 20 days on / 10 days off – Next rotation is either 11/20 or 11/30
Benefits:

- Operate vehicles and equipment for camp maintenance and transportation of staff, clients, and visitors as required
- Shovel snow, sand, and maintain access roads and walkways to ensure safety
- Perform light janitorial duties, including cleaning dorms, public areas, lobbies, restrooms, and replenishing supplies
- Conduct routine and minor maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds (e.g., light painting, basic repairs with hand tools)
- Monitor and report deficiencies, and assist with preventive maintenance planning
- Maintain and clean vehicles, ensuring they are presentable and mechanically sound
- Follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) practices and company policies at all times
- Take care of company assets and protect tools and equipment from damage
- Provide suggestions to improve camp operations and performance
- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of building components and equipment
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Minimum one year of experience in general trades or facility maintenance
- Experience in a remote camp environment is an asset
- Five years driving experience preferred
