Technician Team Lead – Auto Park KIA
Join our team as a Technician Team Lead responsible for supervising, coaching, and coordinating the automotive repair shop’s technicians.
Responsibilities- Supervise, mentor and assist with the development of technicians in the workshop.
- Partner with regional TDA & Diagnostic Specialist to assist with onboarding and career development for technicians.
- Serve as a liaison between the Service Manager, Diagnostic Specialist, Service Advisors, Parts personnel, Technicians, Warranty Administration and clients.
- Maintain close contact with the Shop Foreman to support personnel.
- Ensure quality control inspections and road tests are completed as applicable post repairs.
- Ensure adherence to warranty policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Assign jobs according to technician/team skillset and workload requirements.
- Manage team goals, metrics, KPI’s, work volume.
- Effectively coach, give performance feedback and provide development opportunities within own area of responsibility or department.
- Assist with employee evaluations and goal setting.
- Must be Master Certified.
- Experienced in service principles, concepts and service department operations.
- Reviewing and improving processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills – keeps people and purpose front and center as they make daily decisions, understands how team’s work ties in with the organization’s vision and purpose, follows efforts through to completion, adjusts quickly to new or changing work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Competitive wages commensurate with job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $85,000–$100,000 USD per year.
