About the Position
Goff Welding is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead stainless steel fabrication and installation projects from kickoff through completion. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This is a leadership role focused on planning, communication, and execution. Rather than performing the work yourself, you will ensure our field crews have the information, materials, equipment, and support they need to be successful.

What You'll Do
Project Management
Plan and oversee projects from kickoff through completion.
Review drawings, specifications, and project scope before work begins.
Develop project execution plans and identify potential risks.
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and schedules.
Monitor project progress and adjust priorities as conditions change.
Remove obstacles that impact field productivity.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.
Customer Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project.
Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and on-site engagement.
Conduct regular project updates and communicate changes promptly.
Resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Ensure customers are informed throughout every phase of the project.
Leadership
Lead and support Foremen and field leadership.
Clearly communicate expectations.
Coach employees through challenges and develop future leaders.
Hold team members accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and communication.
Foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Safety
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
Conduct site visits and inspections to maintain quality control.
Ensure compliance with food-grade stainless steel fabrication requirements when applicable.
Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
Resolve quality issues before they impact project completion.
Financial & Project Controls
Monitor labor hours, project budgets, and profitability.
Track project costs and identify change orders.
Protect project gross margins through proactive planning and communication.
Maintain accurate project documentation for billing and reporting.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with engineering, procurement, production, and field crews.
Generate project status updates and performance reports.
Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Support development of company systems and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 1 year of welding experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and project specifications.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard project documentation.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred
Project Management experience.
Construction Management experience.
Experience managing stainless steel fabrication or industrial construction projects.
Experience working in food-grade manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of welding processes, pipe fitting, and metal fabrication.
Experience coordinating multiple trades and field crews.
