The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler III to join our production team on the 3rd Shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

Hours:

11:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.46 + $1.50 Shift Differential

Please Note: You will train on the 1st shift for a period of time, at the manager’s discretion, before moving over to the 3rd shift.

• Assemble and wire LV MCC breakers, structures, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders; punch and bend copper on EHRT punch machines as a Mechanical Assembler III.
• Perform sub-assembly tasks, including mechanical assembly, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires.
• Read and follow BOMs, layouts, assembly drawings, and wiring instructions as needed.
• Use tools appropriately, including setting and using torque wrenches accurately.
• Maintain safety standards, adhering to all safety rules and prioritizing safety for self and others; adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, striving for continuous improvement.
• Support process improvement by following established methods and seeking ways to improve efficiency, while completing additional tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
• 5+ years of experience using hand and power tools (pneumatic & battery-operated), torque wrenches, and measuring devices like tape measures.
• SAP and Salesforce experience
• Ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Proficiency in English (read, write, speak) with a strong background in quality and efficiency.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

The pay for this position is 22.46 per hour, plus an additional 1.50 shift differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
