Job Summary

Efficiently operate and understand all Trucal processes and equipment in Richfield Whey Plant including Pasteurizer, UF, Bk dryer, unloading loads of Calcium, operate Calcium Mill etc.

Essential Functions
  • Take assigned in‑processing samples
  • Monitor operation of equipment and make appropriate adjustments to produce top quality product
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment when needed
  • Operate CIP system when required
  • To keep work area clean and uncluttered
  • Perform duties in safe manner on variable shifts
  • Promotes and exhibits strong Food Safety and Quality, Sustainability, and Housekeeping practices
  • Must report Safety, Food Safety, and Quality, Sustainability and Housekeeping problems to direct supervisor immediately
  • Actively participate in teams and on projects to improve the metrics for given area of responsibility
  • Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
  • Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Functions
  • Regular and timely attendance required
Qualifications
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) all Calcium processing equipment as assigned
  • Accurate in taking samples and performing tests
  • Computer experience helpful
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of USDA, FDA, SQF and customer requirements for a food manufacturing plant
  • Knowledge of Sustainability and EPA requirements for a manufacturing plant
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
  • Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
  • Ability to read and write instructions in English
  • Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
  • Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
