OVERVIEW:

The Manufacturing Engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
THE POSITION:
* Create/edit/maintain Engineering documentation such as:
* CNC Programs
* Geometry specification data
* Process documentation
* Project data analysis and reporting
* Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
* Develop and draft plans for manufacturing procedures.
* Assist and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives including:
* Cycle time optimization
* Setup time reduction (SMED)
* Reducing machine down time
* Increasing machine efficiencies
* Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
* Assist and/or lead company projects and engineering efforts.
* Educate, train, and supervise all employees on current manufacturing and workflow processes.
* Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
* 2+ years of manufacturing experience required
* Demonstrated ability and knowledge of:
* Process development, documentation, and implementation
* Reducing machine down time
* Increasing machine efficiencies
* Project management
* Experience with Six sigma problem solving tools (i.e. DMAIC) preferred.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD or Solid Works.
* Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
* Problem solver familiar with root cause analysis techniques.
