SummaryAs a Feedlot Equipment Operator, you’ll be an essential part of the team, operating equipment and tools to support daily feedlot operations. You’ll take on a variety of hands‑on tasks, helping keep everything running smoothly while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate equipment such as tractors, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks to support day‑to‑day feedlot operations, including maintenance and construction projects.
- Level and bed livestock pens, particularly during winter months, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for cattle.
- Assist with loading, hauling, and removing manure to maintain clean and well‑managed pens.
- Perform routine equipment checks and light maintenance, including fueling, monitoring oil levels, and ensuring equipment is properly greased.
- Partner with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is serviced and operating efficiently.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while completing assigned tasks.
- Support additional duties as assigned by supervisors to meet operational needs.

Typical Education- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- At least 1-3 months of experience operating equipment is required.
- Hands‑on training will be provided to support your success in the role.
- Experience working around livestock is highly desired.
- Ability to read and follow simple instructions, emails, and basic documentation.
- Able to write short, clear communications when needed.
- Comfortable communicating one‑on‑one with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to perform simple math, such as basic calculations used in daily tasks.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, or visual instructions.
- Uses good judgment and common sense to solve routine, hands‑on problems.
- Valid driver’s license for operating single‑axle vehicles.
- Comfortable working around livestock.
- Previous experience working with livestock is a plus.
