Mechanical Assembler Level 2 – Retrofit Team
Location: Wendell, NC.
Shift
Hours:
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
Hourly Rate: $20.36.
- Build and assemble low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including switchgears, switchboards, and breakers.
- Assemble sub‑assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
- Record job transactions, read bills of materials (BOMs), follow layouts and assembly drawings.
- Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
- Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement, and be a strong team player.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
- 1+ year of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
- Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values.
- Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Able to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
- Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub‑assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with SAP.
