Job OverviewPosition:
Production Order Planner at Siemens Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit. Team located in Wendell, NC. Responsible for coordinating make‑to‑order manufacturing activities to ensure reliable customer deliveries, managing production schedules, and communicating changes across departments.

Hourly Rate$24.79
Responsibilities- Daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling of production requirements to balance load while maintaining on‑time delivery of components.
- Proactively communicate production schedules, identify and mitigate risks that could impact completion dates.
- Coordinate material movement within the facility to maintain schedule and production flow.
- Review, expedite and ensure materials are available for production.
- Supply proper and complete paperwork to manufacturing; manage rescheduling or cancellation as needed.
- Communicate with all departments on material shortages (Purchasing, manufacturing areas, Customer Services, etc.).
- Conduct regular floor checks to ensure materials/orders are progressing on time; communicate promptly if schedules are at risk.
- Maintain knowledge of production status for each order, including upstream and downstream components, to provide accurate up‑to‑date schedules.
- Ensure all production orders have been issued materials and escalate if necessary.
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1+ year’s experience using Microsoft Excel for production scheduling and reporting (pivot tables, lookups, filters).
- 1+ year’s experience using SAP for production planning (PP) activities (create/release/monitor production orders).
- Ability to acquire license upon hire for operating forklift, stock picker, reach truck, etc. as needed.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) structures.
- Manufacturing process knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Machining process knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand drawings/documents.
