Job Summary We are seeking a Water Jet Operator to join our team on Night Shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used to cut metal with water and garnet. Pay depends on experience, ranging between $18-22 per hour, including benefits: health insurance, vacation pay, holiday pay and 401(k) retirement. Schedule is Monday-Thursday 2:30 pm to 1:00 am.
Training will be 3-4 weeks on Day Shift Monday-Thursday 5:30 am to 4:00 pm.

- Operate, maintain, trouble shoot and repair Water Jet Gantry and Pump systems
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine
- Perform basic math calculations to verify dimensions and quantities
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large numbers of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Log production parts and processes into quality and inventory control systems
- Maintain, trouble shoot and repair vibratory systems
- Keep inventory of consumable and repair parts
- Keep department area clean and cut up scrap for recycling
- Finish parts as appropriate – rotate parts through vibratories, ream parts, remove burrs from parts, etc.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining hydraulic, gantry and pump equipment
- Knowledge of CNC table operating (plasma, saw, water, etc.)
- Knowledge of metal working and machine setups
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
- Proficiency in using logic controllers for machine programming
- Knowledge of materials handling and forklift operation is required
