Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Headquarters

The Internal Communications Manager is at the center of keeping our people-first culture alive and felt by every employee. This strategic role delivers communications that make employees feel informed, valued, and connected to the work that matters most. It is not a reactive, order‑taking role but a proactive thought partner who uses AI and human judgment to accelerate planning, evaluate sentiment, and create impactful messages.

Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Communications Consulting – Act as a proactive partner to People & Culture and other senior leaders, offering recommendations and planning before requests arise. Coach leaders on human‑centered communication and help them connect authentically with employees.
  • Strategic Communications Planning and Execution – Build and manage a 30–90 day communication calendar and coordinate messaging across all internal channels. Execute integrated strategies that support business objectives, produce assets such as email campaigns, intranet content, video scripts, town hall materials, manager toolkits, and recognition spotlights, and apply AI tools to accelerate content creation while maintaining editorial quality.
  • Change Management – Lead empathetic, clear change communications. Equip managers with context and talking points before organization‑wide distribution. Read the emotional state of the organization, adjust tone, timing, and channel appropriately, and provide reassurance when needed.
  • Measurement – Build feedback‑informed communication systems and track effectiveness through open rates, pulse survey results, feedback loops, and employee comprehension indicators. Report findings to stakeholders and use insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Team Collaboration – Partner with the Internal Brand Manager to develop graphics and visual identity. Lead the Communication Council and the “mixternal” committee, working with communicators across business lines to share content internally and externally.
Qualifications
  • 4–7+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, or a related HR/People function.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting HR/benefits, learning & development, recruiting, and talent programs.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone across audiences from contributors to executives.
  • Project management skills – successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience designing communication strategies for organizational change.
  • Familiarity with internal communication platforms (intranets, email tools, digital signage, internal social media).
  • Comfortable working with AI writing tools, evaluating and refining AI‑generated content.
  • High emotional intelligence – read and adapt to stakeholder needs and change contexts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to advocate for the employee audience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Nice to have: experience in professional services, insurance, employee benefits, financial services, or HR consulting.
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks (Prosci, ADKAR, or similar).
  • Experience building or contributing to a communications governance structure.
  • Knowledge of intranet governance, information architecture, and content lifecycle.
Benefits
  • Competitive base pay based on skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus opportunities.
  • Health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits.
  • Paid time off and overtime pay for non‑exempt employees.
  • Robust learning and development programs.
  • Reimbursement of job‑related expenses and employee perks or discounts.
