Internal Communications Manager

Join One Digital to keep our people‑first culture vibrant and informed. In this role you will guide internal stakeholders with strategic communication plans, ensuring employees feel valued, connected, and clear about our business priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Communications Consulting
  • Proactively advise People & Culture and senior leaders, presenting recommendations and communication plans before they are requested.
  • Coach managers and leaders to communicate authentically with employees and avoid generic corporate language.
  • Strategic Communications Planning and Execution
  • Build and maintain 30–90‑day communication calendars that coordinate messaging across all internal channels.
  • Develop and execute integrated internal communication strategies aligned with stakeholder business goals.
  • Produce diverse content assets—email campaigns, intranet posts, video scripts, town‑hall materials, manager toolkits, recognition spotlights—with editorial oversight and final approval.
  • Leverage AI tools innovatively to accelerate content production while retaining editorial judgment and tone.
  • Change Management Communications
  • Lead change‑communication initiatives with empathy, clarity, and appropriate timing.
  • Equip managers with context and talking points ahead of organization‑wide rollouts.
  • Read the emotional state of the organization and adjust tone, timing, and channel to meet employee needs.
  • Measurement and Optimization
  • Design and implement feedback‑informed communication systems to track effectiveness (open rates, pulse survey results, feedback loops, comprehension indicators).
  • Report findings to stakeholders and refine future communication strategies.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Partner with the Internal Brand Manager on graphics and visual identity for internal communications.
  • Lead the Communication Council and contribute to the "mixternal" committee to align content across internal and external channels.
Qualifications
  • 4–7+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, or a related HR/People function.
  • Experience supporting HR/benefits, learning & development, recruiting, and talent programs.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone across audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a proactive, organized manner.
  • Experience designing communication strategies for organizational change, not just announcements.
  • Familiarity with internal communication platforms (intranets, email tools, digital signage, internal social media, etc.).
  • Comfortable working with AI writing tools and applying editorial judgment to refine AI‑generated content.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to advocate for the employee audience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, HR, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Nice to have: experience in professional services, insurance, employee benefits, financial services, or HR consulting; familiarity with Prosci, ADKAR, or similar change‑management frameworks; experience building communications governance; knowledge of intranet governance and content lifecycle.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary and eligibility for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on performance.
  • Health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits.
  • Paid time off and overtime pay for non‑exempt employees.
  • Robust learning and development programs.
  • Reimbursement of job‑related expenses and employee perks and discounts.
Employment Eligibility

Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for a work visa or residency sponsorship.
