Travel RN - Operating Room

Overview

Travel RN (Operating Room) at a Critical Access Hospital in Ketchum, Idaho. 13‑week assignment, $2,726 per week. Monday–Friday day shifts (07:00–15:30) with 30‑minute on‑call response time. Candidates must reside >50 mi from the facility.

• Perform OR procedures as a registered nurse, supporting surgery teams and endoscopy.
• Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and instrument tracking.
• Respond to on‑call requests within 30 minutes of the hospital.
• Provide patient education and care during post‑op recovery.

• Active RN license (regular or compact); pending licenses not accepted.
• Minimum 3 years OR experience, with strong orthopedic background.
• Experience in sports medicine, general surgery, robotics, and gynecology preferred.
• Endoscopy or C‑section experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS recommended.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Professional references: one recent supervisor (last 12 months) and one peer or supervisor (last 3 years) with dates of employment.

• Fast‑paced OR environment dominated by orthopedic, sports medicine, and robotics cases.
• Pair with preceptor for 5‑day orientation covering unit norms and system values.
• Blue scrubs and appropriate OR footwear provided.
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least one year before eligibility.
• Position for experienced travelers only; first‑time travelers not considered.

• Weekly Wages: $1,480 (regular hours)
• Weekly Stipends: $1,246 (lodging, meals & incidentals)
• Annual Equivalent: $141,752
