Good leadership, management, interpersonal and communication skills. They excel at recourse management. Additional skills include attention to detail, organization and analytical skills, the ability to quickly and accurately assess patient’s condition, and the ability to handle emergencies in a calm manner. Must have a working knowledge of Teton Valley Health Care policies and procedures. The individual will be responsible for leading and, assisting nursing staff as well as providing administrative support.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
- Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse License
- Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic knowledge of computer use; including email and electronic documentation.
- Intermediate math skills including algebra equivalent logic and reasoning required for dosage calculations.
- Ability to use standard patient care equipment including handling flammable gases.
- Knowledge of use on available nursing resources such as approved textbooks and online sites for patient care
- Ability to maintain and follow guidelines set standards of practice in quality patient care and state, federal, and facility required infection control practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills matching our patient’s needs and TVHC’s mission and values.
- One year of hospital nursing experience minimum
- A minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing in a Critical Access Hospital
- Previous House Supervisor experience preferred.
Job Description
As the House Supervisor they will supervise and support the nursing staff, while also treating patients. This nurse is responsible for smooth and efficient patient flow, delegating assignments and collaborating with medical providers to provide quality, organized care. The individual will be working directly with the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Emergency and Trauma Services, Director of Patient Care Services, Director of Quality and Director of Infection Prevention and Employee Health to reach departmental goals
