Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:

Required Skills/
Experience:
- RN should read at least basic telemetry.
Special Requests:
- Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility.
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Exceptions for current or previous employees require approval by St. Luke’s Health System.
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job.
- Block scheduling will be considered to meet unit needs.
Unit Details:
- Uses Epic.
- Nurse:patient ratios: 1:4 without CNA 1:3.
- Common diagnoses/types of patients: post orthopedic surgeries, PN, COPD, CHF, general surgical chole, appe, mastectomies, A fib RVR, MI/rule out chest pain; critical peds are shipped if needed; RSV, pneumonia, respiratory.
- Required to titrate drips; common drips: insulin, Cardizem, Heparin.
- Charge nurse is a house-wide resource and may cover as house supervisor over MS and L&D.
- RT equipment includes nasal cannula, some high flow, CPAP, and BiPAP.
- Tele box and virtual monitor tech.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Self scheduling; first schedule fills unit gaps.
- Every other to every third weekend.
- Holidays occasionally.
- On-call: 2 shifts per contract.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float; may float to ER to task rarely and is primarily on the unit.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
