Part-Time Oncology Infusion Nurse

Job Description

Beacon offers a part‑time (one day per week) RN Infusion Nurse position at our Sandpoint Clinic.

• Provide compassionate oncology nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed chemotherapy and biologic treatments in accordance with nursing standards and under the direct supervision of a physician.
• Administer hydration, iron treatments, and injections as prescribed.
• Monitor patients and assist them in compliance with oral chemotherapy.
• Educate and instruct patients and family members regarding medications and side effects.
• Access ports, PICC lines and start IVs.
• Oversee infusion schedules and maintain timely flow of patients.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy.

These duties are not exhaustive but cover key aspects of the role.

• Compassionate and caring bedside manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work extremely well in a group setting.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Idaho RN license, required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification, required upon hire.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card, upon hire or within 90 days.
• BSN preferred.
• OCN certification preferred.
• Infusion experience strongly preferred.
• Medical oncology and rheumatology terminology appreciated but not required.

Starting at $38 per hour.
