Minimum of 2 years of LTC experience required within the past 2 years. License:
State or compact license required, must be in hand prior to start.

Certifications:

BLS required. ACLS preferred. Must-Have:

Experience with Meditech charting system preferred. Previous charge experience preferred. Community hospital experience preferred.

Description:

Local candidates are not allowed. Travelers accepted for the first time. Block scheduling is negotiable during the interview. Start date is ASAP. The shift consists of 3 night shifts per week. Weekends are required every other week. No call required. Floating may be required as needed within the scope. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 17 patients.

The unit has 15 rooms and 20 beds. Admissions, ambulation, and medication reconciliation are part of the duties. Oxygen administration and vital sign monitoring are required skills. Experience with wound care and behavior management techniques is essential. Support and education for patients and families will be part of the role. An understanding of various medications for mental health and chronic conditions is necessary.

The candidate must be able to communicate patient status changes to the RN or MD. Experience with healthcare documentation and compliance is important.
