Spend the summer in beautiful Salmon, Idaho - the best of PNW outdoors!!

Bertram's is the only full service restaurant and brewpub within 60 miles of Salmon, Idaho! We're looking for cooks to join our team for our busy summer season. But, longer‑term candidates will also be considered!

We are an American fare - homestyle restaurant. We're looking for cooking staff for day or evening shifts on weekdays or weekends. Wage is depending on experience - all levels of experience will be considered! We're looking for team members that can follow established menu items and recipes. However, our adventurous owners encourage trying new things and are open to almost any cuisine (except maybe Tofu - Salmon's not really a tofu kind of town).

Required physical functions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Bertram’s Building was built in 1890 so is grandfathered to not meet all current ADA requirements such as elevators to access floors not located on the street level. Brewpub operations include activity that takes place in a basement and on a 2nd floor with stairs being the only access.

Ability to comfortably and competently negotiate stairs is a primary function of this position. Additional physical demands:

• Comfortable working around hot cooking equipment or in cooler/freezer rooms.
• Constant standing/twisting/bending
• Constant use of hands/arms
• Able to maintain effective and productive contribution to kitchen operations especially during peak service hours.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced/occassionally high-stress environment
