Description

At Sun Valley Resort, our Baristas are more than coffee experts—they’re warm, welcoming ambassadors of our guest experience. We’re looking for friendly, detail‑oriented individuals who are passionate about coffee, tea, and exceptional service. Whether crafting the perfect latte or connecting with regulars, you’ll help create a memorable experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and personalized service to every guest
  • Prepare all drinks to exacting standards, following company recipes and procedures
  • Educate guests on our coffee, tea, and beverage offerings, including blends, origins, and flavor profiles
  • Greet guests by name whenever possible, and build rapport through thoughtful service
  • Maintain product consistency and uphold Sun Valley’s premium quality standards
  • Complete monthly re‑certifications and stay up to date on new offerings and techniques
  • Handle cash and register transactions accurately and courteously
  • Answer guest inquiries in person and over the phone with professionalism and warmth
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment
  • Report guest feedback to supervisors and respond proactively to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for guest service
  • High attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude
  • Excellent time management and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting
  • Willingness to learn about coffee, tea, and specialty drink preparation
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed
  • Comfort working on your feet for long periods and performing physical tasks
  • Engage in physical activities such as standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Food handling experience or certification is a plus
