Job Description

The Full‐Time General Store Associate supports day‑to‑day operations of a small‑town grocery store by providing friendly, dependable customer service and helping keep the store clean, stocked, and running smoothly. This role is hands‑on and flexible, assisting customers, operating the register, stocking merchandise, and supporting general store needs while following company policies and safety standards.
This position is based in Round Mountain, NV.

• Greets customers in a friendly and helpful manner and provides prompt, courteous service.
• Assists customers with locating products, carrying items when needed, and answering basic questions.
• Operates the cash register accurately, including sales, coupons, refunds, and store charges.
• Handles cash responsibly; counts, balances, and turns in assigned cash drawer at end of each shift.
• Bags merchandise carefully to prevent damage.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and organized store environment, including registers, sales floor, coolers, and aisles.
• Restocks shelves, coolers, and displays; faces product and rotates stock as required.
• Returns go‑backs to shelves and properly handles damaged or unsellable merchandise per store procedures.
• Assists with pricing, signage, and basic merchandising as directed.
• Receives and unpacks deliveries when assigned and helps verify items received.
• Observes loss prevention practices and follows all store policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates safe work habits and reports unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
• Works cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors to support daily store operations.
• Maintains punctuality, reliability, and regular attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the General Store Supervisor.

• Open availability to work mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Friendly attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and make change.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Clear verbal communication skills.
• Basic ability to learn and operate a point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
• Basic computer, word, and excel knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to approximately 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers as needed.

• Follows all safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Uses required personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
• Reports hazards, spills, or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Complies with all applicable food safety and retail regulations.

• Treats customers, coworkers, and supervisors with respect and professionalism.
• Demonstrates honesty, reliability, and accountability.
• Supports a positive, team‑oriented work environment.
• Represents the store positively within the local community.
