Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service to BMO customers and prospects, identify customer needs, and provide advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that best serve the customer. Assist and guide customers as they enter the lobby, recommending appropriate digital and self‑serve options. Conduct client conversations about banking services and recommend alternative channels, personal banking, and investment advice.
Meet transaction‑based needs with seamless execution, review customer profiles, and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking, credit cards, and investment products.
Support operational activities, including inventory management, escalated service requests, follow‑up on customer applications, filing, opening and closing activities, and other branch and market‑team requirements. Champion risk and compliance processes and policies, safeguarding customers’ assets and privacy, and act in customers’ best interests. Stay current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and uphold the highest ethical standards. Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications- Typically 1–2 years of relevant customer service or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months) for Canada only.
- Comfortable with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools and applications.
- Experience in a consultative customer‑service or sales role with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions; ability to refer to specialists.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
- Aptitude for listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly to new challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
Salary range: $41,714.00–$50,000.00.
Pay type:
Salaried. Compensation may include a commission structure for bonus‑sensitive roles. BMO provides health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
