Job Overview
Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and immerse themselves in meaningful connections with customers. This learning role requires new associates to master the fundamentals of customer service and sales before advancing to the Mobile Expert level.
Responsibilities- Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world‑class customer experience and building loyalty.
- Assist customers in resuming their shopping journey whether online, through Customer Care or in‑store.
- Explore individual needs and provide hands‑on demonstrations of the latest and greatest technology in store.
- Side‑by‑side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the basic device and service plan that keep customers connected to the people and lifestyle they love.
- Approach service and sales needs with composure, integrity and compassion.
- Consistently use digital tools, demonstrate coverage, and explain plan benefits.
- Complete training on the T‑Mobile in‑store experience, new skills, processes, and knowledge of systems and reference resources.
- Maintain efficiency during shift, continually seek new information about wireless innovations.
- Collaborate with T-Mobile employees across channels to own the customer experience, resolve issues, and support team initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED (Required).
- Minimum 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required).
- Passionate customer advocate with the desire to connect and engage.
- Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment (Required).
- Willingness to work with peers and store leaders, share ideas, and provide customer resolutions (Required).
- Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Hourly base pay: $21.50, plus $5.00 per hour in training pay. Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on‑job training and are eligible for training pay. Once completed, promotion to Mobile Expert makes Associates eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000 per year.
