Location: Mullan

SUMMARY

Employees in Mine Support perform a variety of duties to support general mining and production activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Build Roads

* Cut down road to hard bottom.

* Spread road rock across road surface.

* Apply dust suppressant.

* Repair Roads

* Grade roads to smooth them, pulling material in from the sides.

* Apply dust suppressant.

* Dust suppression of roads as needed.

* Follow established schedule to build and maintain roads.

* Muck sump.

* Tram sump muck.

* Maintain and repair sprinkler systems.

* Operate heavy equipment, including road grader.

* Deliver supplies to underground mine crews, including loading and unloading of supplies.

* Operate service equipment, loaders, fork lifts, and haul trucks underground.

* Housekeeping: including tasks such as shoveling, picking up trash or debris, etc. to ensure a safe work area.

* Operate hand and/or power tools to make minor repairs or for maintenance activities.

* Perform equipment/facility inspection and minor maintenance.

* Communicate using the squawker, station bells, work bells, pager phone, and leaky feeder radio.

* Participate in Risk Assessment activities as required.

* Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as required.

* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

* High school graduate or equivalent.

* Basic computer skills preferred.

* Proven safe work record required.

* Excellent attendance history required.

* Willingness to work in team-based environment required.
