Job Summary
We are looking to hire a detail‑oriented HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair our indoor air quality systems such as air conditioners, boilers, refrigeration, and ventilation systems. - Present initiative and ingenuity with general supervision and assist other team members as needed.
- Maintain an optimistic personality to handle a high‑pressure environment.
- Maximize the efficiency of HVAC/R equipment, ensuring optimal function across our buildings.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, clean, adjust and repair HVAC/R equipment.
- Perform warranty services and emergency repairs on all HVAC/R systems.
- Install energy‑efficient thermostats that save energy and money and swap out old filters for new ones.
- Install heat pumps to help reduce carbon emissions and supply dehumidifiers where needed.
- Participate and oversee installations.
- Apply local HVAC/R codes in a practical manner on each job.
- Provide technical support in the field.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering to develop protocols responsive to need.
- Layout, design, and install low‑voltage wiring.
- Run after‑hours calls as required.
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
- 1+ year experience as an HVAC/R technician, and willingness to continue in the HVAC/R field.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge and understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC/R protocols.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read schematics and work plans and to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on holidays with short or no notice.
- Assist with any reasonable requests from management.
- All other duties as assigned.
