Overview

Job Summary: TEMP POSITION

At this location you will primarily be working on AS350's (rotor experience preferred). Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with Air Methods’ policies and procedures. Ensures company operational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.

Location:

Driggs, Idaho – Eastern Idaho in Teton Valley, west side of the Teton Range. County seat:
Teton County. Population: ~2,000 (2020), growing toward ~2,400–2,500+ recently. Elevation: ~6,100–6,145 ft. Nickname: “Heart of Teton Valley”.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Verify by physical inspection or markings that component or assembly part numbers and serial numbers match documentation.
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation complies with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement phase (level
    4) of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and be familiar with SMS policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area and correct compliance or safety issues when directed by maintenance leadership.
  • Advise the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service.
  • Validate or confirm data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft being worked on.
  • Request aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate inventory for operational readiness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Provide on‑call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
  • Maintain regular scheduled attendance. Must live within one hour of the base.
  • Time traveling: 25–50%; periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and company objectives expected.

Subject to applicable laws and Air Methods’ policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED and 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Factory airframe/powerplant schools preferred.
  • FAR 135 operations preferred.

Skills:

  • Electrical troubleshooting and vibration balancing.
  • Sheet metal and composite repair procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
  • Multitasking in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Team player with professional attitude.
  • Flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotation.
  • Efficient use of electronic or paper‑based manuals and vendor data.
  • Ability to learn and use the Company’s ERP system (Ramco).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Creativity and problem‑solving skills.

Computer

Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ramco experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • FAA A&P License in good standing.
