Location: Mullan

A leading mining operation in Idaho is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical maintenance activities across an underground mining operation. This role is responsible for leading a team of electricians, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the reliability of critical electrical systems.

The successful candidate will have strong electrical maintenance experience within mining, industrial, or heavy equipment environments, with proven leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electrical maintenance teams, including electricians and contractors.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee routine and emergency electrical maintenance activities.
  • Ensure electrical inspections, testing, and repairs are completed safely and in compliance with MSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Support the reliability and availability of mine electrical infrastructure, including:
  • Motors and transformers
  • PLC systems
  • Instrumentation and sensors
  • Communications systems
  • Electrical projects and upgrades
  • Coordinate electrical maintenance activities with mine operations and other departments.
  • Review maintenance priorities and adjust schedules to meet operational requirements.
  • Lead safety initiatives, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed to required quality, safety, environmental, and productivity standards.
  • Maintain accurate records including maintenance reports, shift reports, material requests, and documentation.
  • Train, coach, and develop electrical team members while supporting a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience within mining, industrial, or related heavy industry environments.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience managing electricians or maintenance teams.
  • Experience working in an underground mining environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Journeyman Electrician certification in Idaho or a reciprocal state preferred.
  • Familiarity with MSHA regulations and mine safety practices preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
