Responsibilities and Duties

  • Document "as is" and "to be" QA processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability.
  • Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve the quality of software solutions and supporting infrastructure.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to conceptualize technology solutions, using data to drive design and decisions.
  • Guide the development of existing and new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
  • Develop, automate, and perform complex testing and monitoring to diagnose and correct application functionality and performance issues; validate and interpret test data.
  • Ensure best practices around robust solution monitoring and alerting to proactively diagnose performance or stability issues.
  • Monitor, identify, and correct the most complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications.
  • Lead team in work breakdown and estimation of software development activities to meet delivery timelines; provide resource staffing recommendations.
  • Contribute to and maintain a technical roadmap to facilitate application software development and prioritize work in line with business requirements.
  • Oversee continuous integration activities (sharing, testing, building) within established operational systems.
  • Explore and develop a detailed understanding of emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
  • Develop own capabilities through assessment, development planning, training, and coaching; pursue external professional accreditation where relevant.
  • Maintain an in‑depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through education, conferences, and specialist media.
Skills
  • Provide team oversight and guidance, applying the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in all phases.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize activities to efficiently meet objectives.
  • Assimilate data from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Understand business context, rules, architecture, and organizational processes to document current technology state.
  • Lead the team to envision and document future state processes and products, identifying scope, value, and necessary changes.
  • Create clear, comprehensive documentation and artifacts that explain technical specifications and solutions.
  • Develop software using programming languages, tools, and platforms (including object‑oriented development, database UIs, cloud services).
  • Design, execute, and report on system and service tests to validate application functionality.
  • Install, set up, configure, and manage software and environments.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and fix problems with technology products.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with WDIO, Rest Assured, Test Complete.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud‑based testing.
  • Experience with AI/GenAI in QA, including LLM‑based test generation, agentic workflows, and mini‑agents.
  • Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
  • Exposure to performance testing and scalability validation.
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing and cross‑browser strategies.
  • Experience in a TCoE or enterprise QA transformation environment.
Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience

3 to 6 years as an experienced practitioner capable of advising others and handling most situations.

Managerial Experience

7 to 12 months of general supervision of junior colleagues.
