About the Role

Voltage is seeking a detail‑oriented Transportation Logistics Specialist to coordinate, monitor, and optimize domestic and international transportation activities. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving supply chain efficiency by ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and compliant movement of goods. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and third‑party logistics partners to proactively manage shipments, resolve issues, and maintain accurate logistics operations in a fast‑paced environment.

What

You’ll Do Transportation Planning & Execution
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across multiple transportation modes (TL, LTL, rail, ocean, and air freight).
  • Schedule shipments and select carriers based on service requirements, cost, and performance.
  • Monitor shipment status, proactively identify delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure on‑time delivery.
Carrier & Vendor Management
  • Communicate daily with carriers, freight forwarders, and third‑party logistics providers (3PLs).
  • Track carrier performance, freight costs, and service levels to support continuous improvement.
  • Support carrier onboarding, rate management, and contract compliance.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare, review, and maintain transportation documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, freight invoices, shipping reports).
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Support audits, claims management, and freight discrepancy resolution.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Track key metrics such as transit times, freight spend, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain accurate data within TMS, ERP systems, and internal databases.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support logistics planning and cost optimization.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Procurement, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Finance teams to align transportation plans.
  • Support customer inquiries regarding shipment status and delivery timelines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency.
Process Improvement & Support
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce transportation costs.
  • Support logistics projects, system enhancements, and process documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support supply chain operations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in transportation logistics, freight coordination, or supply‑chain operations.
  • Experience working with domestic and/or international transportation providers required.
  • Strong understanding of transportation modes, freight terms, and logistics operations.
  • Experience with TMS and ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
