Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join their reputable commercial vehicle operation in Ilkeston. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional dedicated to delivering high-quality service and maintenance on HGV and LCV fleets. The role of the HGV Technician offers long-term job stability, a supportive team environment, and ongoing development opportunities within a well-established workshop.

- Opportunity to enhance HGV technical skills and experience
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and LCVs
- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and presenting them accordingly
- Completing six-week safety inspections and scheduled servicing
- Diagnosing faults using modern workshop diagnostic equipment
- Conducting mechanical and cosmetic repairs
- Carrying out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Replacing and fitting vehicle components efficiently and safely
- Providing breakdown support when required
- Maintaining accurate workshop and compliance documentation
- Working in line with DVSA and company standards
- Proven experience working on HGVs within a commercial fleet environment
- Experience working on LCVs is advantageous
- City & Guilds Commercial Vehicle qualification or equivalent preferred
- HGV licence is beneficial but not essential
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Hardworking, reliable, and well-organised
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop setting
