Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Barrington

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Barrington, Illinois. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage accounts receivable processes while fostering strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to billing, account reconciliation, and communication, ensuring financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.

- Reach out to clients to address outstanding balances and facilitate timely payments.

- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring open communication about billing matters.

- Perform account reconciliation to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

- Process payments efficiently and handle cash activity with precision.

- Utilize accounting software, such as Quick Books, to manage financial tasks and records.

- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and contribute to organizational growth.

- Handle billing functions and assist with customer invoices.

- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

- Provide insights and suggestions for improving the accounts receivable system. Requirements

- Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Quick Books and ERP platforms.

- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and billing functions.

- Experience in cash handling, payment processing, and general ledger tasks.

- Ability to perform accurate account reconciliation and data entry.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships effectively.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

- Desire to grow professionally and take on additional responsibilities.

- Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferred.

The salary range for this position is $25/hr to $30/hr benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
