Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant in East Alton, IL. The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on payroll accounting, general ledger activities, and monthly close processes. The role will work closely with the AQRD accounting team and assist with audits, accruals, and ongoing financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment.

• Recording WSA and AQRD payroll and related allocations
• Assist in preparing monthly accruals for various general ledger accounts
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations
• Assist in day-to-day operations of the AQRD accounting team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
• Three to five years of accounting experience required
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Net Suite, Quantum, and Corridor preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting operations
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
