Controller, Accounting, Financial Controller

AMST, a Marmon company within the Commercial Trailer Platform, is seeking a Controller to play a pivotal role in the company's transformation. The successful candidate will work closely with the AMST Leadership team and collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Commercial Trailer Platform Controller and VP of Finance for the Commercial Trailer Platform, to ensure the financial operations are aligned with the company’s growth and transition plans.

This hands‑on role requires the Controller to oversee day‑to‑day financial management, ensuring financial reporting, cost control, and margin optimization strategies are implemented effectively as AMST prepares for its conversion to Epicor in 2026.

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance while coordinating with the shared Assistant Controller who works onsite one week per month.
• Align financial strategies with AMST’s growth and transformation objectives, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
• Lead the budgeting process and provide financial forecasts to support informed decision‑making.
• Ensure adherence to tax regulations and financial laws, proactively identifying risks and implementing necessary controls.
• Provide in-depth financial analysis to drive business performance improvements and operational efficiencies.

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of accounting management experience, required within manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ERP systems used in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; must be hands‑on and comfortable working closely with leadership teams.

• Manufacturing experience in the heavy‑duty transportation industry.
• Experience leading accounting teams through organizational transformations.
• Ability to manage and develop a tactical team while guiding them to support broader business objectives.
