Payroll Associate

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Payroll Associate to join their team. As a Payroll Associate, you will be part of the Payroll Support Department supporting payroll tax processing and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and consistency, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:
St. Paul, MN - 100% onsite
Duration: 3-4 months with the possibility of extension/conversion
Pay: $27/hr on W2

• Specialize in backend payroll processing and post-payroll tax activities
• Handle tax notices and work directly with tax providers and third-party authorizations
• Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance and filings
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
• Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in payroll tax documentation and reporting

• High school diploma with 2-3 years of payroll tax experience
• Solid understanding of federal, state, and FICA payroll taxes
• Experience working with state agencies and tax notices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel
• Clear and effective communication skills with attention to detail
