Staff Accountant - Financial Services - FT Days

Salary Range $26.81 - $44.48 Salary Position Type Full Time (80 Hours) Job Shift Days Category Financial Services

Job Summary:

Responsible for general financial activities including but not limited to: accounts payable processing, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and various tasks related to the audit. Carries out special projects as assigned by the CFO or Controller.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processes accounts payable on a daily basis.
• Prepares standard journal entries for all entities.
• Assists in reconciling bank accounts on a monthly basis.
• Prepares various financial reports for the hospital.
• Participates in monthly close process.
• Assists with the completion of end of year tax returns and other related tax forms.
• Assists in Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
• Assists with the annual audit.
• Performs related duties, assists others as needed, and performs special projects as assigned by the CFO or Controller.

Education Requirements and Other Requirements:

Education Level: Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred

Certification/Licensure: N/A

Experience Requirements: 3-5 years' previous experience in Finance/Accounting department preferred. Computer and organizational skills preferred.
