About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Billing Specialist I to support our financial operations and ensure accurate billing and payment processing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, collaborating across teams, and contributing to a mission-driven organization that values service, accuracy, and professionalism.
What You'll Do- Maintain accurate financial and billing records
- Verify payer and consumer billing information
- Enter and manage data with a high level of accuracy
- Generate reports and support financial documentation
- Assist with file management and general administrative tasks
- Provide friendly, professional, and responsive service to consumers and staff
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and operational goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support agency needs
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Schedule will require working some Thursdays until 8:00 PM
- Business, accounting, or technical training
- Experience in billing, finance, or administrative roles
- Data entry and computer proficiency
- Familiarity with office equipment and standard software applications
