Position OverviewThe Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire a Property and Supply Clerk 2 for the Treatment and Detention Facility (TDF) located in Rushville, Illinois to serve as a Resident Property Control Coordinator. Coordinates Resident Property Control functions for the facility. Conducts inventory, processes and records additions, deletions, location changes, missing or stolen item reports and transfers items to state loan for resident property.
Controls the movement of resident property from receiving, storage and resident possession. Maintain facility property loan program. Advises staff and residents of resident property control procedures; maintains control of equipment in the storage area.
- Serves as a Resident Property Control Coordinator for the Treatment and Detention Facility.
- Enters property changes in the resident property inventory system, including receipt, location changes and the final disposition of items.
- Maintains facility property loan program inventory.
- Moves and relocates resident property throughout the facility, lifting and/or pushing items weighing up to 70 pounds with the aid of a dolly, hand cart and/or truck.
- Advises staff and residents on property control procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
- Requires one (1) year of bookkeeping or clerical experience.
