Location: Wadsworth

The Village of Wadsworth is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Services Coordinator. This full-time position serves as a key member of the Village's administrative team and provides professional support to the Village Administrator and Village Hall operations.

The Administrative Services Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of municipal functions, including customer service, records management, permitting and licensing coordination, public communications, website administration, Board and commission support, project coordination, FOIA administration, and general administrative operations.

Employment Information
  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Monday through Friday
  • Reports to the Village Administrator
  • Starting salary: $62,000 - $70,000 DOQ
  • Paid leave and holidays
  • The Village does not currently offer employee health insurance
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in public administration, business administration, communications, office administration, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative, customer service, office management, municipal, or related experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Illinois Notary Public certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Desired Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of office administration, records management, and municipal operations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, research, and technology skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and build effective working relationships.
Areas of Responsibility & Duties of the Role
  • Public Service and Customer Assistance Provide customer service and coordinate permitting, licensing, and administrative approval processes.
  • Records and Organizational Management Manage Village records, administrative procedures, FOIA coordination, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Communications and Public Information Coordinate Village communications, website content, public notices, community outreach, and special events.
  • Board and Committee Support Provide administrative support and records management for the Village Board, committees, and commissions.
  • Administrative Operations Assist with the day-to-day administration and coordination of Village operations, facilities, vendors, and administrative systems.
