AHA Center Support Staff

The American Heart Association (AHA) Center Support Staff provides administrative and operational support for the College's AHA Training Center. This position ensures alignment with AHA Program Administration Manual requirements.

Essential Duties or Responsibilities

The essential duties and primary responsibilities below are intended to describe the general requirements of this job and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Other related duties which may be required by the Director of Workforce & Community Development (duties that may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but are generally within the occupational series and responsibility level associated with the employee's class of work).

  • Assist in coordinating and administering the College's American Heart Association Training Center.
  • Schedule training courses and maintain a calendar of course offerings and instructor availability.
  • Ensure proper documentation of scheduled trainings, course completion, and issuance of certification cards.
  • Process registration forms and transmit to SCC Registrar as needed.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical records of courses, instructors, certifications, and business contacts.
  • Assign CPR ecard certifications to trainees via AHA website
  • Remit, track, and process course registrations, invoices, payments, and related documentation.
  • Assist with entry and maintenance of training records within Colleague information systems.
  • Generate monthly, semester, annual, and special reports related to training activities and outcomes.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, contracts, and other administrative documents, including but not limited to program data and enrollment information to be used in monthly and annual reports.
  • Maintain inventory records for CPR and First Aid training equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, replacement, and supply purchases as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of American Heart Association policies, procedures, and training standards.

Preferred

  • Experience working in healthcare education, workforce development, continuing education, or community training programs.
  • Experience monitoring, tracking, and maintaining budgets and related financial records.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
