Position Summary

Now offering $1,500 Sign-On Bonus. The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. The role involves learning and developing foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and repair procedures, along with customer interaction to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. This role demands mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay Range: $19.25 – $28.93 per hour. Technicians earn flat‑rate pay for each eligible task, fostering efficiency and rewarding expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
  • Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Perform tire maintenance.
  • Install parts.
  • Road‑test vehicles.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years (tests and registration fees paid by company; bonus for each test passed).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
  • Valid automobile driver’s license at all times and ability to drive company vehicles.
  • Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services, including oil changes, basic inspections, and tire repair.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a vocational‑technical school program in a related field, or demonstration of skills via third‑party certificates/assessment.
  • A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualification or training certification.
