Position OverviewThe Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the sourcing and procurement of indirect services and products required to support Brunswick Corporation and its divisions, including business operations of all internal departments and functions as needed. This includes MRO, Facilities and Services. This hybrid position will be in Mettawa, IL with 3 days in the office.
Essential Functions- Independently research and investigate potential suppliers, evaluate capability, solicit, analyze RFP/RFQs, negotiate pricing and finalize purchase contracts to achieve best total cost of ownership.
- Create sourcing strategy for MRO, Facilities and Services procurement.
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure purchase of highest quality products or services at most cost‑effective pricing while meeting delivery requirements.
- Lead negotiations and define expectations and deliverables associated with purchase.
- Administer programs supporting daily operations of procurement functions.
- Define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes, programs, and supplier performance to achieve strategic business initiatives and KPIs.
- Communicate vision and engage employees to lead change.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in sourcing/purchasing, or closely related purchasing experience.
- BS/BA in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related business experience.
- CPSM or CPM certification a plus.
- Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.
- Strong data analytics skills.
- Familiarity with Office suite products, especially Excel;
Power BI desired. - Experience with an ERP system;
Oracle preferred. - High sense of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
- Background in MRO, Facilities and Services categories.
- Estimated travel: 10 to 15%.
The hiring range for this position is $62,800 to $90,500 annually. In addition to base pay, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in Brunswick’s benefits offerings, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, 401(k) (up to 4% match), Health Savings Account with company contribution, well‑being program, product purchase discounts, and more.
