Position Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for supporting product strategy, product lifecycle management, customer programs, pricing initiatives, and cross-functional coordination. This role works closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Accounting to ensure successful product launches, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and eager to learn the technical and commercial aspects of manufacturing while developing strong business and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of product roadmaps aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Assist in managing product lifecycle activities, including new product introductions and ongoing product performance.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, budgets, and risks to support successful outcomes.
  • Participate in forecasting and demand planning activities.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and business performance to identify growth opportunities.

Customer & Program Management

  • Evaluate new customer inquiries in collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams.
  • Support customer program development and new business opportunities alongside the Director of Business Development.
  • Communicate customer priorities and requirements to Production and Operations teams.
  • Help resolve product, production, delivery, and quality-related issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with product pricing and quotation activities.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports, booking volumes, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Accounting and leadership to support profitability and margin analysis.
  • Maintain customer and product data to support business decisions.

Operations Coordination

  • Manage and maintain quoted lead times and update as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on customer requirements and project execution.
  • Support AS9100 quality system requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote safe work practices and support company safety programs.
  • Oversee order entry and transactional support activities, including order tracking, invoicing, rebates, and returns.
  • Provide support, coordination, and guidance to team members involved in customer service and order management functions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Experience

Preferred:

  • Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience in product management, sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, business analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience leading projects, student organizations, athletics, or team-based initiatives.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technical environments.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar standards is a plus.
