The Kenilworth Park District is seeking a mature, dynamic, motivated, energetic, fun, and responsible Assistant-Director to lead the Kenilworth Little Springs summer camp program for campers ages 3 to Kindergarten. This is a seasonal, part-time position working closely with the Kenilworth Park District seasonal staff.

The Kenilworth Little Springs camp has been a part of the Kenilworth Park District for over 30 years. It is an 8-week-long summer camp running from June 12 to August 4, 2023. The camp operates from 9 AM, with two release options: at 12:00 PM or the extended day at 1:30 PM.

The Camp Assistant Director is responsible for planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating summer camp activities that promote the well-being, growth, and development of children ages 3 to Kindergarten. Prior to the season, the Assistant Director will collaborate with full-time staff to plan the camp curriculum and handle other preparatory duties.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, have a minimum of two years of experience supervising staff and children, and hold a college degree in Education, Recreation, or a related field. Candidates without a relevant degree but with qualified experience may also be considered at the discretion of the hiring authority.
