This is a full-time on-site role based in Lemont, IL, for a Construction Estimator. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, analyzing costs, and creating detailed construction estimates for projects. Key responsibilities include collaborating with project managers, reviewing blueprints, evaluating project requirements, and developing budgets. The Estimator will maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project goals are aligned and met effectively.
Qualifications- Proficient in MS Office, Plan Swift or similar takeoff program, and Trimble Business Center, B2W or related estimating software.
- 3+ years of estimating experience in excavation, grading, earthwork, and underground utilities.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling is a plus. Motivated to learn at a minimum.
- Strong skills in Cost Management and Budgeting to develop and maintain accurate project budgets.
- Effective Communication skills, including verbal and written, to collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Experience with relevant construction software and tools is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
