Job Title

Under the authority of the Director of the Conservatory, the Hip-Hop Dance Professor is responsible for the transmission and development of Hip-Hop dance practice within the institution.

Classes take place on Tuesdays from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Evening and/or weekend work occasionally, depending on the conservatory's activities (rehearsals, shows, events). Possible travel for off-site activities (schools, performance halls, partners).

Part-time position.

• Design and deliver Hip-Hop dance courses tailored to different levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and age groups (children, teenagers, adults).
• Implement the conservatory's pedagogical objectives, aligning with the teaching framework of dance.
• Develop students' technique, rhythm sense, body expression, and creativity in various Hip-Hop dance forms (locking, popping, break dancing, new style, house dance, etc.).
• Provide pedagogical follow-up and evaluate students.
• Support students in their artistic journey and personal growth.

• Participate in institution meetings.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of the institution's project and the conservatory's pedagogical project.
• Participate in organizing and executing the conservatory's public events (shows, open days, cultural events, etc.).
• Collaborate with other artistic disciplines at the conservatory (music, theater, visual arts) for cross-disciplinary projects.
• Engage, if applicable, in artistic and cultural education actions in partnership with schools or cultural organizations in the area.

• Update knowledge of Hip-Hop dance aesthetics and pedagogies.
• Participate in promoting Hip-Hop dance and Hip-Hop culture.

Education:

State diploma of dance professor or equivalent recognized for Hip-Hop teaching.

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching Hip-Hop dance to diverse audiences. Experience on stage and in choreographic creation is appreciated.

Knowledge:
Mastery of Hip-Hop dance techniques and styles. Understanding of the anatomy and physiology fundamentals related to choreographic practices. Knowledge of conservatory pedagogical frameworks. Broad artistic culture, especially in dance.
