Senior UX Researcher responsible for translating research findings into actionable insights for heavy‑equipment HMI and overall user experience. The role involves collaborating with designers, engineers, strategists, and stakeholders to guide UI design and prototyping. Must possess strong communication and project management skills.
Education & Experience- 5+ years of experience in UX Research within a corporate or B2B environment.
- B.S. or higher in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or related field; alternatively, 2–3 years additional experience may substitute.
- Translate usability testing, field studies, simulations, and other research into prioritized insights and recommendations for HMI, display, and heavy equipment UX.
- Clarify operator, customer, and business needs; synthesize into evidence‑based interaction concepts supporting safe, efficient, intuitive operation in real‑world conditions.
- Design and facilitate research for physical digital systems, integrating findings into product designs and design practices.
- Communicate prototype requirements to design and cross‑functional teams; iterate based on test results.
- Document key goals, themes, elements, and behaviors for downstream design teams.
- Create and maintain shareable UX artifacts such as journey maps, storyboards, user flows, task flows, mental models, and experience maps.
- Prioritize research needs and backlog according to product roadmap.
- Deep understanding of UI best practices, UI design, and graphic design theory.
- Proficiency with UI layout, specification, and prototyping tools.
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Mixed‑method HMI research experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating expertise and ability to articulate research process.
- Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional data storytelling capability.
