Senior Staff Physician – Student Wellness Services

Senior Staff Physician provides high quality, evidence‑based direct patient care to UNLV students, faculty, staff, and dependents. Duties include assessment, diagnosis, treatment initiation, follow‑up, referrals, documentation, and supervisory responsibilities for contract and per‑diem physicians.

• Deliver direct patient care in person or via telehealth.
• Assess, diagnose, initiate treatment, evaluate response, and refer as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Provide culturally competent, patient‑centered care.
• Supervise and provide clinical guidance to contracted and per‑diem physicians.
• Participate as a team member on a multidisciplinary health‑care team.

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited college or university.
• Completed family medicine residency.
• Current Nevada M.D./D.O. license in good standing.
• National board certification in family medicine.
• At least 3 years of experience as a family medicine physician, including in‑office surgical procedures.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising physicians and/or residents.
• Pass a background screening.
• Compliance with UNLV Employee Exposure to Communicable Disease policy.

• ≥1 year precepting, teaching, or training medical students.
• ≥1 year clinical experience in college or community health settings.
